To the time of painting of the Small patriarchal refectory the team under the leadership of Vladimir Boytsov counted 80 painters. Most of them were the best young painters, graduates of Russian arts colleges. They were painters with experience of work in temples, restorers of oil wall painting, designers, interior masters. So the team consists of people of different professions, good specialists. Painter's work demands enthusiasm and full devotion to the favorite profession. But the main thing is that the traditions cumulated by talented masters of our painting school, developing in difficult conditions in all the centuries from Rublev to Tsereteli returned and are inherited by the new generation of Russian painters. In fact not only the Temple rose from the ashes. With the Temple in a new generation of painters regenerated technique of Russian wall painting. Managing of a project especially like that in the Temple is not an easy thing. You have to solve many problems concerned not only with painting: how to preserve scaffolding from falling, to choose right lighting and right plaster. There are always a lot of problems, for example builders insufficiently leveled dome ceiling or it is no time for a wall to dry up. Only the preparation of working places in the Temple took 2 months. You have to take responsibility not only for the quality of the work but also for accident prevention, for realizing work in planned terms. Elena Terekhova, young painter, tells: «I was lucky to work on the threshold of the XXI century with excellent painter and person Vladimir Boytsov. He gave us possibility to feel ourselves not only apprentices but painters, personalities, to paint the great building that our ancestors destroyed but we reconstructed. And God gave us possibility to work in such a building and with such a painter. Vladimir Emilievitch helped us to overcome our fear before such a greatness, such enormous canvas, great scales, masses so that we could to paint without fear. He united us, found our basic moments, possibilities and helped us to find the way of development. For example I was lucky to make in the Temple big ornaments of ceilings and I think that Vladimir Emilievitch directed me to the right way. The others also was able to create some unusual things that they never did in their life». True interest to the talent development in each painter working with him helped Vladimir Boytsov to polish skills of young painters. They restored masterpieces of Russian history, Russian Orthodoxy and Russian painting. Painter Ekaterina Miroshina tells: «I came to the team before the other girls and I was the first representative of young people in the team. And in fact I saw everything from the beginning, all the volume of work in the Temple: northern and western girth archs and gallery, ceilings in the bottom gallery of the Temple Of course volume and terms of work frightened and it was very important to know how the process was organized. But all this questions are no more significant when you enter the team. Everything is arranged, you can always ask for advice. And to give us the possibility to concentrate on work as much as possible he provided us with everything we needed and I think that it was excellent and well». Painter Polina Lomakina tells: «The first impression is that everything goes fine. I was sure that it is the same drawings that were made before, that they remained intact. But when I found out that Vladimir Emilievitch had to restore everything having as the base some black and white photos, and that he had to think out many lost fragments and to concert them with the other painting it commanded me a great respect to Vladimir Emilievitch. And I think all the team shares my respect. I can add that of course I'm just a performer. But my work plays an important role for me. If the drawing is made finely that is a real pleasure».
