For the gilding of the Temple was used more than 50 kg of gold bullions. This gold was specially transformed by gilding masters to superfine plates and after that was placed by special instrument on the walls, ceilings, arcs, polished and covered by protective lacquer.

Golden color had emblematic meaning in world imperial tradition. This color used as imperial in symbolism of the Holy Roman Empire. Golden color is one of the characteristic signs of Russian military culture. Golden color of imperial standard became the color of imperial army from the first half of XIX. That's why color spectrum of painting is illuminated by characteristic golden color.

Every painting of Vladimir Boytsov: medallion, ornament or composition takes your attention for a long time. Each of them is not a simple pattern but a result of art heritage of many Russian painters of the time of the first Temple construction as well as of many generations before. Love for Russia helped Vladimir Boytsov to restore masterpieces of his predecessors. His ornaments show all complexity of Old Russian painting. While looking to his works you could only imagine how rare icon patterns were restored from shapeless parts of illustrations remained intact only in libraries and monastery archives.
