Throne-room in patriarchal apartment is another one apartment that was not in the old variant of the Temple. That's why the painting of the ceilings here was done by Vladimir Boytsov sketches from the beginning.

General motives were thought out by architects and brilliantly realized by painters in ceilings and vaults patterned painting.

Here were used the same technique like in small patriarchal refectory: engine-turn with color drawing when the image drew on ceiling or vault, is accurately drew with awl, covered with gold and surrounded with background color.
