Restaurant «Tsarevich» situated in the basement of house in historical center, called Kitay-gorod, an ancient market part of Moscow, where lived merchants and artificers. In time of its centuries-old history this house was reconstructed and enlarged many times. But its undeground part (brick walls and embrasures, vaults, niches) was keeped safe. This forms determines the theme, and idea of «russian» restaurant was created.

Ornamental painting of vaults, arches and niches was created by acrylic tempera in russian folk tradions.

Authors of project: U. Nikiforov and T. Manushina in collaboration with N. Nikiforova, K. Litvinova, E. Pyatnitskaya, E. Annenkova, U. Margolina. Total acres of restaurant is 1600 sq. m. Height of ceilings is 3-3.6 m.

Paints of ceilings, walls and vaults maden by «Decor» group, V. Barishnikov, I. Petrov, E. Tsareva, V. Boytsov, A. Krestovskiy, D. Lisichenko-Lisitsa, O. Dolgaya.
